Pretty stuff i keep in my Bed-room

Or... "Pretty Messy Stuff!" ^_^

This title comes from an inspirational book written by Shannon Kubiak which i loved reading. It's been an eye opening for me and a "must-read". I question my walk with God in my dancing and many times i just felt like giving up and have thought of dancing for the world instead of dancing for Christ. Well, reading this book just about changed EVERYTHING!
"When your life becomes a war between purity and popularity, you have to be prepared to choose."- Shannon
These words were just so powerful that it made me ponder about it for a moment. Questions rushed in and left me realizing where my weaknesses stood at a certain point. My journey have been rough from the time i started dancing. I was taught to dance for entertainment, to please a crowd and to expect an applause dance after dance. It was tough as it has never shown me a genuine purpose of pouring your heart out in a dance floor or on a stage. I've been blinded by the spotlights that slowly led me to the wrong side of the stage, causing me to trip on my foot every time i danced. Sure! I may have enjoyed all the attention and the temporary glitters being up on that stage but somehow there's just emptiness in my heart. There's just no meaning to anything i do, no matter how hard i work on dancing with perfection.
Here I am today, slowly getting up on my feet as the Lord leads me onto the dance floor. He showed me the word "GUIDANCE" as He swayed me around the dance floor. It's amazing how He made me discover lil' things like these. The letter "G" stood for God, followed by "U" and "I" which meant God, you, and I, dance! It's beautiful!
Lessons I've learned in combination of the book I've read and the word that God showed me is that the "One Thing" that keeps me dancing away from Him (God) is a self-inflected knee injury. I had to get tough knees by being on them often in "PRAYER". My view of what dance really meant have been transformed from just a simple entertainment to being a part of a war for our souls and for the souls of those around us. As a result to this, we need to be on our knees in prayer before we even hit the dance floor.
What was missing? I think it's been made pretty clear that what i need to do every now and then is to tune my heart to the rhythm of God's heart, not just before hitting the dance floor or the stage but even after getting up in the morning. God has inspired me with many things in what life can truly bring and i hope you get that inspiration from Him, too. No matter how tough it gets just remember that knowing your weaknesses does not make you weak - it makes you wise!
God Bless! =)
This is a song i wrote based on my testimony in life. Not much though, but i was just inspired to dedicate this to my Father the Saviour. That one day, i can sing this song to him and be lost in the music. I'll try and let you hear it ones it's completed. =)
Verse 1:
Never thought that I could see the things I’m seeing now; hear the words I’m hearing
All the little things that don’t matter do matter now, oh Lord could I be dreaming?
Pre-Chorus:
Never realized what wrong I’ve done till it was shown before me, it brought me down unto my knees, made me ask what is this I see...
Chorus:
All that’s shaped me into a nasty being has been transformed by all His ways,
Where He showed the light shine upon me,
His word, the truth, just stays,
It don’t matter to Him when or what it is I’ve been through,
His embrace, He truly saves,
For the Lord my God has read through,
My story, my past as unraveled case
Verse 2:
The fall was high which took its toll, but I’ve landed safely,
Hear me now; here I am, longing for you desperately,
Hold fast, grip tighter, my father told me,
For He's got great things in store for me to see,
Exciting! So be ready…
Bridge:
Great is the Love He has put to solve my case,
Great is He, my father, the saviour,
He gave me space, amazed as I took…
The step, the courage to be His only
