A dream come true

During my 18th birthday, i was asked if i wanted to have a Debut Party (which is a tradition in the Philippines as Young girls reach the age of 18 - as for some countries, they have a rather similar celebration but they call it "Sweet 16" which is obviously done at a younger age) Well, i thought that having a Debut Party would be interesting. I get to invite my own 18 girl friends and 18 guy friends. It was exciting how i tried to imagine it, beautiful setting with a candle on every 18 round tables, 18 roses to be given by my invited guy friends, who will be coupled with the other 18 girlfriends and of course, a beautiful dress to be worn on that special day. Wow! sounds like an every girls dream, huh?!? Well, i suppose it is but not when the planning and preparations go hectic and when your budget goes straight down the drain. Ahhh...Yes!!! Money and time, one of the very famous and well-talked about topics in any conversations.
Well, as for some of you probably know that i didn't go with the idea of having a Debut Party, at all. Instead, something better and rather more Exciting (Perhaps not for every girl but it is for me) happened.
An uncle of mine who has been working in Saudi Arabia for many years, gave me a phone call on my birthday. It was flattering and definitely a surprise for i have not heard from him in a very long time. He asked what it was i wanted on my 18th birthday, and i jokingly answered "A Swimming Pool!" pfft...yea right! haha...well, i thought about it carefully, and decided that it would be alright for him not to give any gifts. But he insisted, so i told him what I've always wanted but couldn't have it because of the fact that it was beyond my family's budget. And Yes! What you see up there is the picture of what my Uncle has given me and i certainly owe it all to God to have blessed me with such a wonderful gift. A squire Fender, 20th Anniversary Edition! ^_^
It's definitely a dream come true and I thank God for giving me an opportunity to use it in the right place to glorify His name. I've still got a lot to learn and playing for him in a worship team is just amazing! I definitely have NO regrets over my decision and will always take care of this Dream come true!!! =)
God Bless!
