Hello guys,
Sorry haven't got the chance to actually sit down and blog about blogging. LOL. =P Well, honestly speaking, till' today I still can't believe I'm back here in the Philippines. Just right after my vacation last Dec and now, here I am again. Except this time it ain't a vacation, well as i see it due to the fact that I am here for a lil' thing called work! haha..well, no matter what kinda hell Ï'm going through at some point, I try and make the best of my stay here in ma' homeland! In fact I'm blessed to be here somehow. Haha...
I've got a lil' diary of my own and it goes something this...
01/03/2008 (Saturday - My first Day out in the City)
Dear Diary,
My cousin bought us some tickets to a street Dance Concert organized by a ministry who call themselves as M.O.D. (Ministry of Dance). It got me all Amped as I've never seen such amazing talents that some of the lil' kids in the PI have. Even a five year old kid can kick butt in throwing off some skills on break dancin'. I was like "WOAH" and left me speechless for a moment. Seriously that kid has got great moves and has a bright future in street dancin'. Haha...
The entire concert was evangelistic although some of the people weren't aware of it. But I certainly was stunned throughout the evening. It was an unforgettable one.
03/03/2008 (Monday - First step to reality)
Dear Diary,
So I'm back to discovering the real purpose of being in ma' homeland. As for some of you who don't know, I'm back to settle in some paper works regarding my work, now that I am no longer a student. Therefore, as required by the government of the PI and Bruville I oughta follow some steps in allowing me to return to the country where I'll be working at (ie. Bruville) Cheh... So complicated! But I ain't got no choice now, do I ?!
So as for the first slap on the face, we went on an adventurous journey to Makati City (where the Bruville Embassy was located). Good thing I was accompanied by my cousin, Abby and an uncle who could help drive us around the city. For a moment it felt like we were on an Amazing Race reality show with back-packs and maps to look into. HAHA..honestly, you don't know how many times we got lost through-out our journey to accomplishing what we had to do today. But I gotta hand it to ya, no matter how tiring the day went, it was something to laugh about in the end. =P
Went through crazee med check-up which lasted the entire afternoon and only finished at 9ish in the evening. You wanna know how it ended? Well, I had to go through 9 steps and the final step was extremely challenging. Phew! Am I glad its over or what?!? I had to sit for a written examination in Psycho, which had 4 sections and the 1st section was an MCQ in tagalog. I have never sat for a tagalog examination before and that just left me struggling a bit. Wasn't as bad as reading Jawi but was ok enough for me to read through a couple of times before understanding what it meant. LOL. Good thing was that the examination didn't have any time limit, (which I thought was weird) so I ended up being the last person to submit my papers. Waaahhh!!! Just glad it's over.
*Dates Skipped* (To be included as pictures coz i'm just too lazy to type right now) ahahha....
10/03/2008 (Monday - The waiting continues)
Dear Diary,
Imagine?! After one week only then I am able to get my results and cert for my med check-up. To remind myself again that today is the day. Haha...=P Which also reminds me that I got up this morning without having to take my breakfast before sitting in front of the pc to update my blog. So, this is one reason why i should end here as my stomach continues to grumble like a hungry monster.
-End-
Well, before i officially end I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the people who have been by my side to pray for me and to just simply be there for me during these trial times I've been facing and having to go through without a doubt. I thank God for all the blessings that He has given me counting in the challenges that He is letting me experience. I believe that there is hope and purpose for everything that He is allowing to happen in our lives. And as a friend ones said "God doesn't give us challenges that we can't handle," which pretty much the journey I've been walking on is something that the Lord has set foot on already. I truly agree on that. So I thank you again guys...
Lots of Love and Blessings...
Laurice
